Southern Sound Showcase – Orchid Denver

Please join us December 1, for the Southern Sound Showcase featuring Earl Nelson & The Company, Jesh Yancey & The High Hopes and Elijah Petty & The Part-Times.  Tickets gets you all three shows.

Earl Nelson & the Company have emerged out of Golden, Colorado to revitalize modern Americana music with a 60’s & 70’s vibe, blending a groovy mix of North Mississippi Hill Country Blues, Southern Rock Soul, and Bluegrass Funk…

Jesh Yancey is a folk singer and songwriter based out of Denver, Colorado. Still promoting his first full-length album, Livers and Diers, Yancey has laid the foundation for a long career as a songwriter. Jesh began playing and writing music in 2002 and has been crafting his sound ever since. After failing out of college the first time and running off to join the Navy, Yancey found himself on the Gulf Coast with a pen in his hand and something to say where the majority of the songs for Livers and Diers emerged. With influences like John Prine, Guy Clark, Todd Snider and Widespread Panic, Jesh has established a catalogue of songs with a solid groove and an honest sentiment that takes a couple listens to fully take in. Livers and Diers is a journey from the darkest depths of ignorance to the blinding truths of everyday life and is an attempt to jolt the listener into deeper thought while their toe starts tapping.

Elijah Petty & The Part-Times is a southern rock band based in Denver, Colorado. Petty moved to the mile high city in 2021 and eventually assembled a backing band: the Part-Times. The six piece has been playing shows around the Denver metro area ever since, as well as working on recording their debut album together as a full band. Influences: Creedence Clearwater Revival, Lynyrd Skynyrd, James Gang, Bob Seger, Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson, Colter Wall, Benjamin Tod, Reckless Kelly, Shane Smith & the Saints, Turnpike Troubadours, Cody Jinks, Kings of Leon… I could go on, but the point is that my aim is to make country rock music.
